As a first year teacher I would rush out of school at the same time as the pupils in order to drive from Earl Shilton to Chilwell (35 mile drive) and meet up with Jane for a squash and sauna relaxation!
We tried to sort out some of our teaching and life issues whilst whacking the ball against the court ; it was very therapeutic for us as the students didn't feel any pain and we left for home feeling relaxed and content.
Jane was such a good listener and confidante. I will miss our coffee sessions where we shared and attempted to resolve world peace! We were so close to achieving this goal.
